A quick way to lecture materials is [L] here

The course is delivered as a part of the [L] IMKE international
Master's programme, thus the working language is English. In case of only Estonians participating,
switching to Estonian is possible (materials will still be in English).
OSM in short:
- Duration: 16 weeks, but heavily concentrated on September (see the schedule below).
- Weekly workload: varies; seven 1,5-hour (2 academic hours; combines lectures, discussions and labs) in September, two more in January. In between, there will be substantial amount of independent work
- Location: Tallinn University, main building, P-321 computer lab room
- Credits: 3.0 Estonian credits (ainepunkt or AP), 4.0 ECTS credits

- Assessment: graded assessment, but the grade will be based on the work throughout the term

IMPORTANT CHANGE 10.12 - THE DEADLINES ARE EXTENDED! So to do:
- reading, reviews, case studies - end of the year (31.12)
- completion of the Wesnoth campaign (teamwork) - end of the year
- personal report on your work at the campaign development - end of the year
- personal report on testing the other team's campaign - 07.01.08
You may either blog the reports etc or submit them as a document via e-mail.
NOTE: If a team fails to complete the campaign, the other team will have nothing to test and this task will
be annulled. However, the offending team will be subjected to Delfador's 14-4 lightning!

as our playground. Main ideas of the game, overview of the wesnoth/data directory. Creating a scenario and a campaign. WML.

- Wesnoth lab - building the first map; starting to design a scenario

- Legal issues of FLOSS: find and describe a couple of legal cases involving free licenses
- FLOSS business: describe a success story and a failure, explain the differences and the reasons behind them
- Free Culture: describe an interesting case from outside software/Internet sphere
- playtesting the other team's campaign, blog it! (Deadline: December 20)

- Wesnoth campaign (participation in team; everyone writes a short report about his/her role and contribution) - 50%
